The group &TEAM is continuing its strong upward trend by reaching the top of the Oricon weekly chart in Japan with their new release.
On 29th, the latest chart released by Oricon (as of May 5/aggregated period from April 21 to 27) showed that &TEAM's third single 'Go in Blind' topped the 'weekly single ranking.'
According to Oricon, &TEAM set the highest record among male artists this year so far with a five-day total since the album's release. Previously, 'Go in Blind' sold 569,000 copies on its first day (23rd) based on SoundScan Japan, becoming a 'half-million-seller' immediately upon its comeback.
Also, the music video for the title track 'Go in Blind', which shares the same name as the album, surpassed 10 million views in just over 6 days and 3 hours since its release on the 21st. This is 4 hours faster than &TEAM's previous work 'Yukiakari' (雪明かり).
The music video for 'Go in Blind' visually expresses &TEAM's identity and bold actions through images of wolves appearing throughout and the nine members charging forward fearlessly even in the face of uncertainty. In particular, &TEAM's intense choreography, pouring out explosive energy while blindfolded, is remarkable.
&TEAM's new release includes three new songs: 'Go in Blind', 'Run Wild', and 'Wolf Type', along with the theme song for a Japanese marathon 'Extraordinary Day', and Korean versions of 'Go in Blind' and 'Run Wild', totaling six tracks. The album encapsulates &TEAM's passionate effort to carve out their own territory.
&TEAM will embark on a tour starting from Aichi, Japan, on the 10th and 11th, and will perform in nine cities across Asia, including Tokyo, Bangkok, Fukuoka, Seoul, Jakarta, Taipei, Hyogo, and Hong Kong.
