In 'Weak Hero Class 2,' Oh Ki-kwang has made a name for himself as a villain, raising viewers' heart rates.
Actor Oh Ki-kwang has been newly cast in the Netflix series 'Weak Hero Class 2,' delivering a performance that heightens the tension to its peak.
'Weak Hero Class 2' tells the story of the model student Yeon Si-eun, who transferred to Eunjang High School with a trauma of failing to protect a friend from violence but faces greater violence to ensure he never loses a friend again. Since its release on the 25th, it has maintained its position at the top of South Korea's TOP 10, as well as receiving explosive interest overseas and continuing to sail smoothly at the box office.
Amidst this, many eyes have focused on Oh Ki-kwang, who infused the narrative with intense tension. He transformed into the ruthless antagonist Do Seong-mok, leaving a deep impression.
Do Seong-mok is the captain of a school bully union, feared by all, and stands sharply opposed to Yeon Si-eun (portrayed by Park Ji-hoon) and Park Hu-min (portrayed by Ryu Woon). The character, which casts a fierce atmosphere even with a brief description, was made even more intense thanks to Oh Ki-kwang, who paid attention to every detail of the role.
The piercing gaze that instantly subdues Ko Hyun-tak (portrayed by Lee Min-jae), combined with his dry expression contrasting the powerful punches and kicks, highlighted Do Seong-mok's brutality without needing any dialogue, and when he exuded a villainous dark aura, viewers' breath was also held. As a result, many responses noted that they could not let go of their tension whenever Oh Ki-kwang appeared.
In particular, Oh Ki-kwang's action-oriented physique stood out in the climax of 'Weak Hero Class 2.' The powerful energy coming from his impressive height of 186 cm, coupled with the swift tempo of his punches and kicks, was enough to add thrilling excitement to the scene.
Oh Ki-kwang has been recognized for his broad acting spectrum and versatility through 'Weak Hero Class 2.' He previously encountered audiences as a righteous boy in the TVING series 'After School War Activities' and as a passionate youth with a one-sided love in tvN's 'Opening 2023 - Summer, Love Machine Blues.' Thus, his diverse persona showcased in this series proves his boundless potential as an actor.
Oh Ki-kwang has added a significant stroke to his filmography. Following 'After School War Activities,' he firmly captured the hearts of global audiences with 'Weak Hero Class 2.' Anticipation is building for his next acting endeavors as he excels in any role he takes on.
Meanwhile, 'Weak Hero Class 2,' featuring Oh Ki-kwang, is currently streaming successfully on Netflix.
