Singer Yoon Min-soo shared his recent status as a gireogi appa after sending his son Yoon Hoo abroad for study.
On the 29th, Yoon Min-soo posted a message on social media saying, “It’s me~ just checking in” along with a photo.
In the photo, Yoon Min-soo is casually dressed, sitting on a sofa and looking at his mobile phone. With warm sunlight pouring in, creating a tranquil atmosphere, Yoon Min-soo appears deep in thought as he gazes at his phone.
Yoon Min-soo had previously sent his son Yoon Hoo abroad for study. Yoon Hoo was accepted at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Yoon Min-soo explained, “The University of North Carolina is a research-focused public university and is part of the Public Ivy League. It is also the oldest and largest university in the University of North Carolina system.”
In particular, Yoon Min-soo noted, “It is especially famous for being difficult for international students to get admitted, with only about 6% of students being international. The percentage of Korean speakers among foreign students is about 1%, which means that there are cases of Korean international students getting accepted into Ivy League schools but failing to gain admission to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Despite being a top-tier elite university, it is not well known in Korea.”
Meanwhile, Yoon Min-soo divorced his wife Kim Min-ji, who is one year older, after 18 years of marriage in May of last year. However, both parents attended their son Yoon Hoo's graduation ceremony to share the joy.
