Kim Min-seok returns in 'Shark: The Storm' with a deadly real survival action.

On the 29th, the production team of the TVING original series 'Shark: The Storm' (screenplay by Min-ji, directed by Kim Gun) released a still cut showing the overwhelming aura of Cha Woo-sol (played by Kim Min-seok), who has returned even stronger.

'Shark: The Beginning,' which was released in 2021, gained attention as the first original movie of TVING based on a legendary action webtoon. After four years, 'Shark: The Storm' is resurrected as a six-episode series, garnering high expectations. It features a real survival action where Cha Woo-sol, who is training to become a mixed martial arts fighter after being released from prison, faces off against the notorious villain Hyun Woo-yong (played by Lee Hyun-wook) in a stormy showdown. Cha Woo-sol, who had to fight to survive, grows as he overcomes fear and limitations, now fiercely confronting new 'evil' to protect his loved ones. The thrilling action, filled with a heightened sense of impact within an expanded universe, is expected to provide extreme catharsis.

Above all, attention is focused on Kim Min-seok's performance showcasing Cha Woo-sol's 'sweat and blood action' as he returns stronger. Meanwhile, the changed atmosphere of Cha Woo-sol captured in the released photos stimulates curiosity. Despite still having a pure face, the 'deadly aura' in his eyes suggests his transformation. Having surpassed his limits to survive in a hellish life, Cha Woo-sol now races towards his new dream of becoming a mixed martial arts fighter after serving time. Cha Woo-sol stands in the ring drenched in sweat, and hope can be glimpsed in his shining eyes free of fear.

Another photo hints at the desperate battle to come. Cha Woo-sol's determined gaze, marked by wounds, is intense as he confronts someone. Cha Woo-sol has grown from a youthful boy to a strong man. It raises curiosity about the incident that sparked his combat instincts while living diligently despite the stigma of being an ex-convict.

Kim Min-seok is expected to maximize immersion in Cha Woo-sol's narrative, entangled in the stormy 'Karma.' In particular, Cha Woo-sol's evolved 'lethal action,' fighting not to survive but to protect, is anticipated to elevate adrenaline to its peak.

In relation to this, Kim Min-seok said, "Having the opportunity to portray one character over two seasons is a truly valuable and grateful experience as an actor," expressing his feelings upon returning with the series after the original movie. He added, "I'm very excited to show an even more intense action and a noticeably grown character, and I hope you will watch the process of Woo-sol, who was once a weak boy, transform into a character who strives to protect not only himself but also his loved ones," stimulating curiosity.

'Shark: The Storm' will be fully released on TVING on May 15.
