The concert of Taeyeon of Girls' Generation in Japan, which had been suspended due to the non-arrival of equipment, has been ultimately canceled.

On the 29th, Taeyeon's agency, SM Entertainment, announced through their official account the cancellation of the TAEYEON CONCERT THE TENSE IN JAPAN performance and refund information.

SM noted, "We previously informed you of the concert cancellation and have been reviewing various options for a substitute performance, but we regret to inform you that we have ultimately canceled the Tokyo performance due to difficulties in securing a venue that can accommodate an appropriate number of attendees while also ensuring a quality stage production."

It continued, "We sincerely apologize for having to deliver this news to fans who were looking forward to the concert. We spent time exploring the best possible solutions while keeping various possibilities open until the end, and we also apologize for the late announcement due to this effort. All purchased tickets will be fully refunded, and we ask you to check your My Page and email from your purchase location by April 30 (Wed)."

Earlier, Taeyeon was scheduled to hold a concert at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan, on the 19th and 20th, but the agency stated that the equipment needed for the tour had not arrived in Japan until the 17th, just two days before the concert, making it very difficult to prepare sufficiently for the performance.

The agency announced the suspension of the concert, stating, "We have been consulting with various parties and exploring all possibilities, but have come to the conclusion that it is difficult to hold the concert under optimal conditions," adding that, "We are also reviewing the possibility of a substitute performance," but ultimately determined that a substitute performance was not feasible, leading to the final cancellation.

Meanwhile, Taeyeon has continued her solo concert tour 'The TENSE' in celebration of her 10th anniversary as a solo artist, starting with performances in Seoul from March 7 to 9, and continuing in Taiwan, the Philippines, and Indonesia. After concluding her performances in Macau on the 26th and 27th, Taeyeon is scheduled to continue the tour in Singapore on May 3 and 4, in Bangkok, Thailand on May 31 and June 1, and in Hong Kong on June 7.
