The group Stray Kids is launching a special promotion in Japan to mark their first entry into stadium performances.
Stray Kids will hold a total of four solo performances as part of their world tour 'Stray Kids World Tour 'dominATE'' on May 10-11 and 17-18 at Shizuoka Stadium Ecopa in Japan. In particular, this Shizuoka concert is the third local performance as part of their world tour following concerts at Tokyo Dome and Kyocera Dome Osaka, which attracted over 315,000 audiences on Nov. 14, 16-17 and Dec. 5, 7-8 in 2024, and is drawing enthusiastic responses from fans as it marks their debut first stadium concert in Japan.
Ahead of this, from April 28 to July 7, they will conduct a special collaboration with Central Japan Railway Company to draw local fans' interest. This collaboration follows the second collaboration after the promotion for the release of their second studio album 'GIANT' from Nov. 8 to Dec. 27 last year and will take place in the Shizuoka region, including inside the Tōkaidō Main Line train, Shizuoka Station, Hamamatsu Station, and Kakegawa Station. Special advertisements for Stray Kids will be displayed at 17 stations along the Tōkaidō Shinkansen, and short-form videos will be available on the Shinkansen. Additionally, various events will be arranged, including a limited lottery for video viewers to receive limited edition collaboration products or original postcards when purchasing items at certain stores in the representative shopping mall ASTY Shizuoka at Shizuoka Station. Detailed information related to this promotion can be found on the special site of Central Japan Railway Company.
Stray Kids have dominated major music and album charts in Japan with various works released since their official debut in March 2020, achieving remarkable popularity as the first fourth-generation K-pop boy group to perform at the four major domes in Japan, completing the '5-STAR Dome Tour 2023.' Earlier in March, they were named the winners of the Music Video of the Year and Best 3 Albums categories at the 39th Japan Gold Disc Awards. On June 18, they will continue their momentum with the release of their third mini album in Japan titled 'Hollow,' which features a total of five original songs, including the title track of the same name, with all members of the producing team 3RACHA, Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han, participating in the production.
