Recently, due to a hacking incident involving customer USIM (USIM) information at SK Telecom, SK Telecom began offering free USIM replacement services to customers starting on the 28th.
However, on the first day of the free USIM replacement service, nationwide SK Telecom stores were overwhelmed with consumers rushing to get their USIMs replaced. In addition to open-run events, long lines formed in front of the stores, leading to some stores facing shortages of USIM stock. Although SK Telecom tried to alleviate long waiting times by accepting online reservation applications, this also experienced confusion with delays due to high traffic.
In this context, Mija saw the news of the USIM information leak and said, "This is so scary," adding, "Is there really a mask..? Seeing the endless lines makes me hesitant, but I have to do something today."
