Former Go player Lee Sedol shared his thoughts on filming "Devil's Plan: Death Room."
On the 29th, a production briefing for the Netflix variety show "Devil's Plan: Death Room" was held at Hotel Naru, Seoul M Gallery in Mapo-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by Director Jeong Jong-yeon, Lee Sedol, Kyuhyun, Kang Ji-young, Yoon So-hee, Seven High, Lee Seung-hyun, Jeong Hyun-kyu, Choi Hyun-jun, Chuu, Kim Ha-rin, Park Sang-yeon, Son Eun-yoo, and Tino. Justin H. Min could not attend due to the shooting schedule in the United States.
"Devil's Plan: Death Room" is a brain survival game where players from various professions compete over seven days to determine who has the best brain. The show's second season brings together 12 players from diverse fields such as lawyers, doctors, science YouTubers, professional gamers, and actors.
On that day, Lee Sedol said, "I thought it would be a good experience, so I came. I think it has indeed been a good experience."
He added, "I think this is the first time I've felt competitive spirit outside of Go. Adapting to something new in a new environment felt challenging and difficult. But as time went on, I found it fun and realized that I was enjoying it."
Especially when MC Park Kyung-rim asked, "Which is harder, Go or 'Devil's Plan'?" Lee Sedol promptly replied, "'Devil's Plan' is definitely harder," eliciting laughter.
Meanwhile, "Devil's Plan: Death Room" is set to meet global viewers exclusively on Netflix on May 6. The first week will unveil episodes 1-4, followed by episodes 5-9 in the second week, and episodes 10-12 in the third week, featuring intense competition and unpredictable psychological battles like never seen before.
