Jin Seoyeon shared the casting story of 'Drug King.'

On the 28th, actor Jin Seoyeon grants, along with her close friends actor Um Moonseok and swimmer Suyeong, discussed various topics during the broadcast of Channel A's 'Best Friends Documentary – Table for Four'.

Jin Seoyeon said, "I was the second of three daughters. My parents worked, so I took care of the whole family. I wanted my mom to rest. When my sister came home after sports, I did the laundry and cooked ramen for her. After she lay down, I massaged her. When my younger sister came home, I organized her dance bag and fed her. When my dad came home, I fed him too. I don't know if my mom remembers this," as she reflected on the hardships of her childhood.

She continued, "I was extremely introverted. I had no friends. I could hardly go to elementary school. I couldn't talk at all. I sought jobs that required no communication. I wrote down nun and cleaning helper as my dreams. Then I thought about modeling. Since I had to negotiate directly with agencies, I started to speak. This led to getting commercials. Acting briefly was fun."

Jin Seoyeon revealed that she filmed 'Drug King' after 15 years in the industry. She said, "There weren't any noticeable activities before that. My agencies all went bankrupt. It must have been so hard. I shot 12 commercials and received no money because they went bankrupt. How much money would that be?" indicating that she struggled significantly after her debut.

Jin Seoyeon mentioned, "When I auditioned for 'Drug King', I said I would retire after this. The original script was truly harsh. It was so tough that I seriously considered retiring. I thought, 'If I’m not going to do this after, then what's the point.'"

She added, "The clothes and earrings I wore in the first scene were all mine. I went to the audition like that. They were quite surprised. They had a strong affection for the 'Boryung' character, but the guidelines were 'not to be sexy, not to be seductive, should have charisma, and should be terrifyingly grotesque.'"

Jin Seoyeon said, "At the audition, I showed them difficult yoga poses as a dance. It seems that it felt threatening to them. I was cast immediately. They were looking for someone for a year. Just as they were about to go with a foreign actor, Seoyeon appeared."
