City man Ryu Kyung-soo embarks on a new beginning as a novice farm owner.
The new tvN weekend drama 'Our Unwritten Seoul', which will premiere on May 24 (Saturday) at 9:20 p.m., follows twin sisters who are different in every way except their faces, as they find real love and life through a lie that switches their lives.
In the drama, Ryu Kyung-soo plays the role of Han Se-jin, who suddenly moved to Doson-ri two years ago to start strawberry farming as a returnee. Due to certain circumstances, he gave up all his previous career to immerse himself in strawberry farming, embracing the smell of the soil.
Not long after starting farming, he gets scared even by a single grub he sees while working in the fields, yet due to his unique charming personality, he gets along well with everyone and is recognized as a member of Doson-ri. The curiosity about why the novice farm owner Han Se-jin came to Doson-ri is concentrated on his true identity.
The released photos capture a day in the life of Han Se-jin, the farm owner with secrets. Unlike a typical farmer, he roams the village in pristine white clothes and is engrossed in fishing, while also exuding the aura of a farm owner as he inspects a shed filled with farming tools.
However, Han Se-jin's sophistication, which cannot be concealed even by his work gloves and youth association hat, creates a peculiar sense of discomfort with the friendly atmosphere of Doson-ri. As a result, attention is drawn to his story, which piques curiosity like a book improperly placed on a library shelf.
Additionally, attention is focused on Ryu Kyung-soo's acting transformation as he portrays the character's farming challenges. Ryu Kyung-soo noted, "I thought the unique charm of the character and the themes of comfort woven throughout the script would bring me solace, so I engaged in this work," defining Han Se-jin as "a quirky character."
He further explained, "Although he may seem soft and light, he possesses profound loneliness and a sense of loss." To highlight the charm of Han Se-jin, he stated, "I reflected on how this character’s lighthearted and chatty actions may stem from the deep loneliness and solitude embedded within him. Therefore, I focused on these aspects during my performance," increasing curiosity about his acting points.
Ryu Kyung-soo's unique challenge unfolds in the soil-scented strawberry fields in the new tvN weekend drama 'Our Unwritten Seoul', premiering on May 24 (Saturday) at 9:20 p.m.
