On the occasion of their 10th anniversary, the group Seventeen (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, Dokyeom, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) will release a new studio album on July 26.

Seventeen posted the trailer for their 5th studio album "HAPPY BURSTDAY" titled "DARE OR DEATH" on their official YouTube channel and social media at midnight on June 28.

The trailer consists of three episodes produced in an interactive format, leading to different endings depending on the choices made: Side A "DARE" and Side B "DEATH." Seventeen's awareness of their inner "Daredevil" guides viewers to a crossroads of challenge and complacency.

In the main content, after encountering the "Daredevil" engulfed in flames, the members who fall into an unknown impulse are depicted with intense imagery. The scenes where uncertainty and madness intermingle overlap with the form of the "Daredevil" are striking. This serves as a device that suggests both existences are ultimately one individual. The video concludes with a shot of Wonwoo atop a building, as if making a determination, along with the phrase "Choose for yourself. Challenge or Settle."

As the title suggests, the Side A "DARE" version shows Seventeen boldly embracing challenges. Those who break through their fears to take bold steps toward the next journey finally accept the "Daredevil" and are reborn as one complete entity. The members’ explosive movements as they twist their bodies into a new existence leave a strong impression alongside the erupting flames.

On the other hand, the Side B "DEATH" version unfolds the ending when ignoring the inner voice and choosing to remain in the present. Those who decide to stay in place, gripped by anxiety and fear, vanish amidst the thick smoke. Subsequently, a missing person flyer labeled "MISSING" flies in, delivering a shock.

"DARE" and "DEATH" versions each conclude with the phrases "FACE THE CHALLENGE, BURN ANEW" and "WITHOUT CHALLENGE, THERE IS NO NEW BEGINNING," showcasing Seventeen's strong will toward challenge and rebirth.

Seventeen previously revealed the album title "HAPPY BURSTDAY," combining the English words for birthday and burst, indicating a powerful rebirth. As the trailer with two different endings unveils, fans' anticipation for the new album's story and music has soared.

Meanwhile, Seventeen successfully held the "SEVENTEEN 2025 JAPAN FAN MEETING 'HOLIDAY'" at Kyocera Dome Osaka on June 24 and 26-27, creating unforgettable memories with 120,000 spectators. All tickets for the three-day concert were sold out, underscoring their high local popularity. The members will continue their performances at Saitama Super Arena between May 10-11.
