The crisis faced by Kim Hye-ja in 'Seulgi's clinical life' was alleviated thanks to the immense love of her husband, Son Suk-ku.
In the tvN weekend drama 'Seulgi's clinical life' (written by Kim Song-hee, directed by Lee Min-soo) aired on the 27th, scenes depicting Lee Hae-sook (played by Kim Hye-ja) being threatened by Park Chil-seok, a soul escaped from hell, and Ko Nak-jun (played by Son Suk-ku) who remains calm to rescue her, along with Song-mi (played by Han Ji-min) who is misunderstood as Lee Young-ae (played by Lee Jung-eun) were portrayed.
Lee Hae-sook had to go to church. The quarreling pastor (played by Ryu Deok-hwan) was not very good at cooking, while Lee Hae-sook was a capable homemaker and daily teller. The pastor, who had tasted Lee Hae-sook's cooking, began to wonder about her bean sprout noodles and started to pick beans together with her.
While picking beans, Lee Hae-sook said, "I learned to count while picking beans. My parents died when I was not even a year old, and the one who raised me turned out to be my father's first wife. I was the child of a mistress. I went through various hardships and met a man who liked me, and when I got married, I heard he couldn’t walk due to an accident. I did everything in his place. That's how I lost my husband and became this pitiful old woman," reciting her difficult life.
In response, the pastor said, "Despite knowing who her parents are, you, Hae-sook, know nothing of them. I lost my parents when I was five years old. My mother told me to wait in front of the church when I got lost, so that's how I ended up here." He was a person who had died at five and became a pastor as a soul.
Park Chil-seok remained quietly smiling. He had been desperately going in and out of the church in wet clothes. In life, he was a wandering junk dealer, and his wife, who was ill and had almost lost her speech, was sitting next to him in the truck.
Out of immense love for his wife, he traveled across the country without any hardship. This was before he was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Even to place his wife in a facility, it would easily cost 1 million won a month, and above all, the major issue was that there would be no one after his death. He made up his mind firmly, and after they both dressed nicely and had a meal in a nice place, he decided on that evening to make an extreme choice. His wife was still knitting, and he was steadfast in his thought that he had to take her with him.
This was a sin. The center director said, "Mr. Park Cheol-jin, you shouldn’t be here. Did your wife consent when you made your final choice?" He added, "Death is also a part of life. The authority over life belongs to each individual. Mr. Cheol-jin's sin lies in causing his wife to die. If you feel sorry for her, please come out and pay the price," he resolved to send him back to hell.
What that soul desired was simply to know the whereabouts of his wife. He threw a fit, declaring that he couldn’t leave and threatened Lee Hae-sook with a weapon. The one who came with a scarf, knitted and sent from heaven, was Ko Nak-jun, the heavenly postman. Ko Nak-jun said, "You must go to hell, Cheol-jin. That's the only way you have a chance. Don’t you want to meet your wife here later?" His words turned Park Cheol-jin's heart around with that parcel.
