Director Lee Byung-hun, known for the domestic film's highest-grossing title "Extreme Job" and the drama "Melodrama is My Nature," is returning.

On the 28th, Director Lee Byung-hun produced four web dramas titled "Unknown Author" and released them on the YouTube channel "Please Pray for me to Love." They are short-form dramas known as "shorts," with each episode not exceeding 10 minutes in runtime.

"Shorts" are brief but intense, and they have been rapidly emerging in the recent web content market, attracting various consumer groups. What led him to challenge YouTube and "shorts," after being active in film and TV dramas? Director Lee noted, "This is a bold challenge to cope with the constantly evolving consumption patterns," mentioning that the difficult production environment was also a reason.

Director Lee Byung-hun said, "Due to the impact of rising production costs and the psychological constraints of existing broadcasting platforms, it is not as easy to work on feature-length projects as it was before," adding, "Thanks to YouTube, a path has opened to create and quickly release drama content without a heavy burden."

"Unknown Author" is a drama in which Director Lee Byung-hun wrote the script and took on the direction. Composer and pianist Yiruma, known for creating global hits like "Kiss the Rain" and "River Flows in You," participated as the music director.

Music director Yiruma said, “This is my first time participating as the main music director in the drama genre, which I had previously participated in sporadically with one or two tracks.”

Regarding the reason for participating in this project, he said, “While I want to showcase a diverse musical world through a new platform, I accepted the invitation without hesitation because I am a longtime fan of Director Lee Byung-hun.”

"Unknown Author" is a human comic thriller drama about a poor woman named "Mini," who has never passed an acting audition, and a man named "Jjami," who secretly harbors a vengeful motive while selling egg bread. They meet in a tumultuous way and exchange true forgiveness and encouragement. The drama, produced by Metafiction and distributed by Hua Studio, will have the first and second episodes released today (28th), with the third and fourth episodes coming on May 5.
