Highlight shared their feelings ahead of their comeback.
On the afternoon of the 28th, an online press conference was held to commemorate the release of Highlight's sixth mini album, 'From Real to Surreal.'
'From Real to Surreal' is the group's new full album presented after about a year, and Highlight will return to their fans this year, which marks their 16th anniversary since debut, as a steadfast and realistic presence that always feels like they're by your side.
The title track 'Chains' is a hip-hop genre song that starts with a fresh clarinet riff, with member Lee Gi-kwang taking on the lyrics and composition. It conveys a story of a mad love that you fall into endlessly, even if you try to run away.
In particular, the pre-released track 'No Ending,' unveiled on the 16th, is a ballad track that allows fans to savor Highlight's vocals, effectively building anticipation for the album. 'No Ending' attracted additional attention as it was the first song released under the name 'Beast' in 9 years. Additionally, the album includes the poignant R&B track 'Good Day to You' and the refreshing and uplifting 'Follow Me,' totaling four songs.
That day, Lee Gi-kwang noted, "It has been exactly 1 year and 1 month since I released a new album after 'Switch On.' I have been making an effort to show a different side of myself, and there's fun in that process. While feeling the fun, I put my heart and soul into creating a wonderful album with the fans and members."
Yoon Doo-joon also remarked, "Even after 17 years, I still feel excited and nervous every time we release an album. Highlight puts in tremendous effort with every album. I am grateful to everyone for their continued support."
