Coupang Play's comedy show 'SNL Korea' captivated viewers with the outstanding performance of its fourth host, Kim Sa-rang, showcasing an unprecedented transformation.
Coupang Play's 'SNL Korea' is a self-proclaimed number one real comedy show in South Korea, created by an extraordinary host who secures the 'meme star' spot and a crew with max-level laughter combat power.
In the 4th episode of Season 4 of Coupang Play's comedy show 'SNL Korea,' which aired at 8 p.m. on April 26, Kim Sa-rang successfully completed her comedy debut stage, shedding her mysterious persona entirely. Appearing in an elegant yet bold dress, Kim Sa-rang overwhelmed the audience from the opening with her unreal Aphrodite-level visuals. That day, Kim Sa-rang's radiant opening stage produced rare stills, marking it as one of the most memorable entrance scenes in 'SNL Korea' history.
Kim Sa-rang appeared as Jung Yi-rang's dreamy, attractive woman and flaunted her beauty and figure, enchanting both men and women. She also daringly showcased risky 19+ acting with Kim Won-hoon. As if that weren't enough, she transformed into a teenager with pigtails and school uniform fashion and cleverly parodied Chu Sa-rang by exclaiming, 'Watashi wa Kim Sa-rang desu,' drawing bursts of laughter.
Kim Sa-rang brought her 20-year-old nostalgic birthday party to reality, which had become her signature, providing thrilling fan service that delighted the audience. Not only did she embrace Kim Min-kyu while wearing a large coat together, but when Shin Dong-yup was looking for a match, he rummaged through his pants pocket. She also captured viewers' attention by sharing a glass of cola through a straw.
Kim Sa-rang's realistic acting also drew attention. Along with Lee Su-ji and Ji Ye-eun, she surprised Kim Won-hoon, Kim Kyu-won, and Lee Jin-hyuk in a 3-on-3 surprise hunting skit, providing entertainment with detailed relatable performances that showed her contrasting behavior in front of friends and in front of men. The improvisation with crew members Lee Su-ji and Kim Won-hoon elicited admiration for its effortless humor and gestures.
Kim Sa-rang, who delivered powerful performances across various characters, shared her heartfelt thoughts, stating, "I expected that comedy wouldn't be easy, but I didn't realize it would be this hard. I think I'll appreciate 'SNL Korea' even more from now on."
Meanwhile, the 5th episode of Season 7 of Coupang Play's comedy show 'SNL Korea,' hosted by actor Hyun Bong-sik, is scheduled to air at 8 p.m. on May 3.
