The American YouTuber 'Johnny Somali,' who was indicted for obstructing business by engaging in various misadventures in South Korea, has recently revealed that they are experiencing serious financial difficulties.

On the 25th, Professor Seo Kyung-deok said, "Many internet users reported this to me," and added, "The YouTuber 'Legal Mindset,' who informed us about Somali's criminal allegations and trial process, recently disclosed a Telegram message sent by Somali's acquaintance on their social media."

According to the message, "The attorney fees are too burdensome. If there are people who can help, please donate," sharing a PayPal account where donations could be sent.

In particular, they appealed, "Somali is prohibited from leaving the country, and nothing supports them in South Korea," adding, "There is no choice. If I don't help, Somali will die of starvation."

In response, Professor Seo criticized, saying, "It is an article that announces Somalis' tragic downfall," further stating, "The idiom 'self-inflicted punishment' comes to mind."

Up until now, Somali has been a 'troublemaker' YouTuber who has mocked by kissing the statue of a girl and has engaged in various misadventures in South Korea, using the Rising Sun flag and shouting about Takeshima (the name for Dokdo claimed by Japan).

Professor Seo stated, "It's a problem that foreign YouTubers have continued to engage in imitative crimes due to Somalis," citing that YouTubers 'Black Dave' and 'Ice Poseidon' also caused all sorts of noise while recklessly wandering around Seoul and Busan.

He emphasized, "We must impose severe penalties on 'Johnny Somali,' who is currently on trial, to set a good precedent," adding, "We must ensure that foreign YouTubers who mock South Korea and threaten passersby cannot wreak havoc in the country any longer."
