Veteran actor Kim In-mun passed away 14 years ago while battling cancer.

Kim In-mun died on April 25, 2011, at Dongguk University Medical Center in Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province. He was 72.

Debuting in the 1967 film 'Barefoot Glory', Kim In-mun appeared in dramas 'Love on the Dae-chu Tree', 'Aunt Oki', 'Four Seasons Diary', 'The Sands of Time', 'Gentle Wind Gynecology', 'Paper Crane', 'Hotelier', 'The Conch Shell of My Life', 'Heavenly Match', 'Kiss in April', and films 'My Sassy Girl', 'My Wife is a Gangster', 'Let’s Go, Dalma', 'The Princess', 'Vampire Detective Nadoyeol'.

The deceased first collapsed from a cerebral infarction in 1994 and, despite suffering a third cerebral infarction in August 2005, showed his passion for acting by appearing in films 'Maintaining Peace', 'Murder Case in Paradise', and 'The Old Man Who Cooks'.

In particular, Kim In-mun did not spare efforts in nurturing juniors, even while his health was declining. He noted, “An actor should die on stage,” and was found to have bladder cancer during the filming of 'The Old Man Who Cooks'. It is known that he completed filming in the hospital before losing consciousness.

Additionally, Kim In-mun served as the first department head of the Theater and Film Department at Changshin University in Masan in 2008 and established the Korea Disabled Broadcasters Association in 2009, taking the lead for juniors and the disabled.

Following the news of Kim In-mun's passing, which comforted the sorrows of common people through his acting, there were expressions of grief. Internet users conveyed their sentiments, saying, “A true actor,” “Master of common people's acting,” “I already miss his warm voice,” and “He was like the man next door.”
