Actress Hyeri is preparing for her first solo fan meeting amid suspicions of illegal ticketing.
On the 24th, the organizing company for Hyeri's fan meeting, Setter Stage, announced through their official social media that "investigations into suspicious purchases through abnormal channels have been completed."
They continued, "We have sent requests for clarification to those who purchased tickets for the reasons below and we ask that you respond with clarification materials by April 29 at 6:00 p.m. (KST). If there is no response by the deadline, or if the notice could not be received due to nonexistent contact information or email, or if there are no valid reasons for clarification related to fraudulent purchases, tickets will be automatically canceled sequentially after April 30."
Hyeri will hold her first solo fan meeting on June 7 at Ewha Womans University Samsung Hall to celebrate her 15th anniversary since debut. The tickets opened on the 14th and all tickets for the second show sold out within one minute, proving her explosive popularity.
However, after the ticket sales ended, signs of illegal ticketing were discovered, causing controversy, and her agency, Sublime, along with the production company, released a statement and began addressing the issue.
The production company issued a notice on 'policy for handling fraudulent tickets' and stated, "We have captured multiple instances of abnormal ticket purchases as soon as tickets opened and are conducting a thorough investigation," adding, "Thanks to the cooperation of fans, we are also quickly identifying illegal transaction tickets, and we plan to take proactive measures through rigorous investigation of seats suspected of being used for illegal transactions."
