Actor Kim Min-hee and film director Hong Sang-soo have been spotted for the first time walking with their son at Hanam Misa Lake Park, attracting considerable attention. It has been confirmed that they are residing in the country. With Hong Sang-soo's film set to be released domestically in May, the atmosphere is particularly focused on them.

Recently, an online community shared photos of the couple walking in the park with their baby. In the photos, Kim Min-hee was seen taking a stroll holding a newborn in a baby carrier, while Hong Sang-soo stood beside her, looking at the child with a bright expression, making them appear like an ordinary family. Earlier, the couple garnered attention again when news of Kim Min-hee's childbirth was reported in early 2024. It seems that after recovering from her stay at a postpartum care center in Hanam, Kim Min-hee has ventured outside with the baby.

Notably, the fact that they are currently in the country has drawn attention. The couple has usually refrained from domestic engagements apart from overseas film festival schedules. It is quite unusual for them to be publicly seen in Korea. Some have speculated that "they may be staying in Korea for a certain period to balance parenting and preparations for their upcoming works ahead of the May domestic release."

Director Hong Sang-soo and Kim Min-hee first collaborated on the film 'Right Now, Wrong Then' in 2015, and their relationship evolved into a romance the following year. In 2017, they publicly declared each other as "lovers" at an official event, and since then, they have largely refrained from domestic activities, continuing their work mainly at overseas film festivals.

Especially notable is the fact that they are currently in the country, coinciding with the release of Hong Sang-soo's new film 'What Does Nature Say To You.' This work was officially invited to the competition section of the 75th Berlin International Film Festival, receiving global acclaim, and is scheduled for a formal domestic release on May 14.

Meanwhile, Hong Sang-soo is still legally married. He attempted to file for divorce mediation in 2016, but it was not established, and in 2019, the court dismissed the divorce claim, thus maintaining his marital relationship with his wife.
