“I hate reality too much”→“It’s hard because I have many good memories...”

Channel A’s Chang-hwan and Ji-won express the severe aftereffects of ‘social distancing’ after hitting the wall of reality with a ‘15-year age difference.’ The seventh episode of ‘Heart Pairing’ will air on the 25th (Friday) at 10:50 p.m., featuring a preview video capturing the inner thoughts of the eight residents ahead of a three-day ‘contract relationship.’

Earlier, eight residents who began their ‘Chapter 2’ at the Seoul ‘Pairing House’ disclosed their jobs and ages on the first day of residency and started a serious ‘pairing’ as potential marriage partners. Amid the chaos of love lines between ‘ideal’ and ‘reality,’ the preview video this time reveals the inner thoughts of the residents as they contemplate a ‘contract relationship’ where they can go all in for three days, raising curiosity.

First, Chan-hyung expresses a desire to move forward with his match, saying, “Holding hands is natural between lovers, but is it okay to hold hands while doing a contract relationship?” On the other hand, artist Woo-jae notes, “There were parts where it was difficult to engage deeply in conversation due to professional aspects with Ji-yeon (the lawyer),” adding, “Although my feelings are for Ji-yeon, I was curious about Ji-won.”

Meanwhile, although Chang-hwan and Ji-won achieved a perfect ‘value pairing’ by choosing each other's ‘pairing books,’ the ‘15-year age difference’ causes them to take a step back from each other, showing difficulty in sleeping. Chang-hwan states, “This isn’t a problem that I can solve just by putting in a lot of effort on my own,” adding that “the depth of feelings toward Ji-won became a source of hurt, and I hated reality too much.”

Ji-won also reveals, “I thought Chan-hwan would be around in his mid-30s at most…” and shares, “I had many good memories during our dates, which made it emotionally difficult.” Despite continuously pursuing Ji-min, Ha-neul, who has faced multiple rejections, expresses feelings of disappointment, stating, “I felt a bit sad about Ji-min” and reflects, “After seeing Ji-yeon only taking care of him in the Pairing House, I wondered, ‘Am I really not worth that much?’”

Additionally, the preview video includes the backstory of Ji-min and Ji-yeon, who became the ‘main characters’ of the sixth episode with the ‘direct confession’ of “Let’s do a contract relationship.” Immediately after confessing, Ji-min shyly states, “I had been thinking a lot about how to express myself, but when I actually met, I couldn’t find the words,” making Ji-yeon smile broadly. In an interview with the production team, Ji-yeon shares, “I thought he was an honest and transparent person,” mentioning that “because Ji-min was among my ‘contract relationship’ candidates, I felt more of a ‘positive’ than a burden.” Furthermore, she expresses excitement by mentioning Ji-min’s ‘brown pairing book’ and saying, “I want to read it.” This preview video, which excites the ‘Jimin-Jiyeon’ fans, raises intense interest in whether Ji-min and Ji-yeon can start a ‘contract relationship’ in the seventh episode.

Meanwhile, ‘Heart Pairing’ surged to fourth place in the Fundex ‘TV Non-Drama Popularity’ chart compiled by Good Data Corporation for the third week of April, setting a record for the most consecutive weeks at its highest since airing. It showed a remarkable fame increase rate of over 40% compared to the previous week, showcasing a ‘crazy upward trend.’ Additionally, it topped the ‘Friday TV Non-Drama Popularity’ chart for the first time. Ji-yeon, known as the ‘pure alpha girl,’ ranked first in the ‘TV Non-Drama Cast Popularity’ chart, while Ji-min and Woo-jae placed eighth and eleventh, respectively, proving their overwhelming popularity and fame.

The results of the first ‘contract relationship’ matching among the eight residents can be confirmed in the seventh episode of ‘Heart Pairing,’ airing on the 25th (Friday) at 10:50 p.m.
