(Following interview①) Lee David shared his thoughts on collaborating with Ma Dong-seok.

On the 24th, at a café in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, an interview with main actor Lee David of the film "Holy Night: Demon Hunters" (written and directed by Lim Dae-hee, distributed by Lotte Entertainment, produced by Big Punch Pictures and Nova Film) took place.

"Holy Night: Demon Hunters" is an occult action piece where a city thrown into chaos by a group that worships evil is saved by the 'Holy Night' team members, who are dark problem-solvers with special abilities: Bau (played by Ma Dong-seok), Sharon (played by Seo-hyun), and Kim-gun (played by Lee David) who eliminate the forces of evil.

Lee David's character, 'Kim-gun', is a multi-player who records and assists with all activities of 'Bau' and 'Sharon' on exorcism sites with versatile skills and leaves a strong impression all around. In this regard, Lee David noted the chemistry with his producer and acting partner, Ma Dong-seok.

That day, Lee David recalled, "When I watch movies starring senior Ma Dong-seok, there’s always his own comedic code. However, it always feels like I'm the one who gets the brunt of it. That comedic code comes in unexpectedly while the events are moving. There were many parts that made me laugh without realizing it."

He continued, "Anyway, when I get to work with him, I thought it might give me points that I could also share with the audience. There was an expectation that it would be a good experience. And in fact, I was caught off guard a lot on set. With countless ad-libs and ideas, I laughed a lot. I was quite tense as well. I felt I needed to stay alert to keep up. After all, he’s someone who works very flexibly."

Especially regarding Ma Dong-seok's compliment that Lee David "flexibly handles both fastballs and breaking balls," he said, "It could have been a struggle for me. Since I can't let the situation stop while doing action, there’s something that needs to be made good in some way."

He added, "That memory sticks with me. On the surface, I was laughing, but there were times when my head felt like it was spinning. The senior threw something else at me, and in that split second, I remember my mind racing tremendously. I didn’t think I performed as skillfully as senior Ma. I had parts where I put in my best effort. But still, I think it seemed to please him."
