Taeyeon shared a statement from a global fan alliance urging compensation for the concert cancellation.

On the 24th, Taeyeon posted a statement on her personal social media about the feedback and compensation request regarding the cancellation of her concert "The TENSE" in Tokyo, which was published by her global fan alliance.

In the statement, Taeyeon's global fan alliance raised criticisms toward SM Entertainment, Taeyeon's agency, regarding the unilateral cancellation of Taeyeon's tour "The TENSE" in Japan and the resulting fan damages, demanding feedback.

They initially demanded feedback regarding the unilateral and careless cancellation notice two days before the performance, criticizing the notification method for being indifferent and for not recognizing the seriousness of the situation, as well as SM Entertainment's inaction and evasion of responsibility following the incident.

In response, the Taeyeon global fan alliance demanded five specific actions. They urged to 'identify the exact responsibility for this incident and impose appropriate sanctions on SM Entertainment Center and relevant responsible persons', 'issue an official apology and statement regarding this incident through artist Taeyeon's official channel', 'prepare a concrete compensation plan for the damages incurred by fans due to the cancellation of the Japan concert and transparently disclose its specific contents', 'ensure transparent operation and clear notifications based on communication to prevent similar incidents from occurring in future "The TENSE" tour schedules', and 'SM Entertainment should directly announce its position regarding the announcement of new dates for the "The TENSE JAPAN" concert and the plans for future performances and promptly provide guidance on this matter.'

Additionally, Taeyeon's global fan alliance noted, "We strongly warn against the situation in which the individual artist is wrongly blamed for this incident and aim to protect the artist from the burden of having to communicate directly with fans."

On the 17th, SM Entertainment announced through Taeyeon's official Japanese homepage that the concert "The TENSE" scheduled for the 19th and 20th at Tokyo Ariake Arena had been canceled. Regarding this, SM Entertainment explained, "The equipment used in the Asian tour is in transit to Japan but has not yet arrived, making it very difficult to prepare adequately for the performance" and stated plans to provide detailed announcements regarding alternative performances and future responses.

In this context, on the 18th, Taeyeon expressed her disappointment through a fan communication platform, stating, "When the news about the cancellation of the Japan concert was delivered, I was worried about my fans (the fandom name) and felt really bad, not knowing what to say or how to express it. I hate this situation and feel sorry for my fans. It feels like all the efforts and expectations that went into my concert were taken away in an instant, leaving me feeling empty and at a loss for how to express these feelings."

Following the global fans' statement, Taeyeon directly shared it, indicating her solidarity with the feelings of local Japanese fans expressing their disappointment over the concert cancellation.
