Former baseball player Choo Shin-soo's wife, Ha Won-mi, said the prices of dwellings in Texas, USA, have likely doubled.

On the 24th, a video titled "What should I secretly do about Choo Shin-soo?" was uploaded to Ha Won-mi’s YouTube channel. In the video, Ha Won-mi said, "It must have gotten more expensive than when we first built (the house). It cost almost 10 billion won, and now it could have doubled."

Ha Won-mi gained attention last year when she revealed a large mansion of 18,250 square meters on her YouTube channel. She introduced that there is also a "panic room" inside the house to prepare for external threats. She noted, "The small space is made of steel and is bulletproof," adding, "There is a system inside to view the outside via CC (closed-circuit) TV."

When asked by the production crew if it resembled the control room from the series "Squid Game," Ha Won-mi answered, "Yes." She added, "Even if the power is cut off in our house, there is electricity in that room (the panic room)" and said, "The internet is also separately installed."

Ha Won-mi explained that she prepared the panic room because many people own guns in the U.S. She also said, "There are many guns in the house" and noted, "(I have a license to carry a firearm) so I can carry a gun." Ha Won-mi stated, "In the U.S., there are many cases of Major League players being stalked, so the club made sure that all players and their wives obtained (gun carry licenses)."

Ha Won-mi married Choo Shin-soo in 2004, and they have two sons and one daughter. After his seven-year contract with the Texas Rangers expired in 2020, Choo Shin-soo joined the SSG Landers in the Korean Professional Baseball League and announced his retirement last year. He is currently serving as a special advisor to the owner of SSG and overseeing player development.
