Stray Kids has been nominated for an award at the American Music Awards (AMAs), a major music awards show in the U.S.
According to the official announcement from the AMAs' website on the 23rd (local time), Stray Kids has received nominations for Favorite K-Pop Artist and Favorite Soundtrack for the album from the Netflix animated series Arcane Season 2, which includes their song "Come Play."
Following their attendance as the second K-Pop group to perform at the awards last year, the group has reaffirmed its strong influence by being nominated this year. The AMAs is considered one of the three major American popular music awards shows, alongside the Grammy Awards and the Billboard Music Awards.
Having already won awards at major international music awards such as the MTV Video Music Awards and the Billboard Music Awards, the group continues to garner attention as global top artists by lifting trophies at various award shows. In March, they were named winners of the Music Video of the Year and Best 3 Albums categories at the 39th Japan Gold Disc Awards, and they have maintained their momentum by winning the K-Pop Album of the Year at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards for two consecutive years.
Meanwhile, Stray Kids is currently on their world tour "Stray Kids World Tour 'dominATE,'" performing in stadiums across 34 regions with 55 concerts. They successfully completed their debut Latin America tour from March 27 to 28 in Santiago, April 1 in Rio de Janeiro, April 5 to 6 in São Paulo, April 9 in Lima, and April 12 to 13 in Mexico City, drawing approximately 400,000 fans across eight stadium performances in five regions, proving their overwhelming ability to attract audiences.
Their "largest-ever" world tour "dominATE" will resume from May 10 to 11 and 17 to 18 at Shizuoka Stadium Ecopa, and will extend to Rome on July 30. Stray Kids is expected to set a new record for the most attendees at a single tour in K-Pop history, with a total of 2.2 million fans participating in this tour.
