The group &TEAM has achieved 'half a million seller' status with the release of their new album, kicking off a surge in popularity.
According to Billboard Japan on 23rd, &TEAM's (Eunju, Fuma, Kay, Nicholas, Yuma, Jo, Harua, Taki, Maki) third single 'Go in Blind' sold 569,000 copies on the first day of its release on 23rd (based on SoundScan Japan). This figure is about twice the first-day sales of &TEAM's previous work 'Aoarashi' (嵐/아오아라시) based on single CD sales.
&TEAM has achieved 'half a million seller' status for the first time this quickly. Their previous works 'Aoarashi' and 'Yukiakari' (雪明かり/유키아카리) each surpassed 500,000 cumulative sales over approximately 4 weeks and 3 weeks, respectively.
'Go in Blind' also topped the Japan Oricon 'Daily Single Ranking' (as of April 22). With this, &TEAM has reached the top of the chart for three consecutive works. As &TEAM continues to show steep growth with each release, it is anticipated what new milestones they will set with this new album.
Meanwhile, &TEAM held a showcase in Tokyo's Toyosu PIT to celebrate the release of 'Go in Blind,' presenting stages for the title track 'Go in Blind' as well as new tracks like 'Run Wild' and 'Wolf type,' garnering enthusiastic cheers from their fans.
Leader Eunju noted, "As we enter our third year since debut, I feel our team's cohesion has strengthened through various experiences together. We prepared this album with the mindset that we are not afraid of any situation with the nine of us. We will show a new side of &TEAM." Kay added, "If we are together with LUNÉ (LUNÉ, the fandom name), we can expand our own world from now on."
&TEAM plans to tour across nine cities in Asia over approximately two months, starting in Aichi, Japan, on May 10-11, followed by Tokyo, Bangkok, Fukuoka, Seoul, Jakarta, Taipei, Hyogo, and Hong Kong. The Seoul concert will be held at Jamsil Indoor Stadium from June 7-8.
