Park Myung-soo, Kim Dae-ho, and Choi Daniel from 'The Great Guide 2' encountered wild gorillas.
On the 22nd, during the broadcast of the MBC Every1 entertainment show 'The Great Guide 2', Park Myung-soo, Kim Dae-ho, and Choi Daniel, the trio known as 'Da.Da.Su', challenged the 'wild gorilla tour,' considered the highlight of their trip to Rwanda, Africa. They had to climb up and up the muddy mountain where their feet kept sinking, but the wild gorilla they encountered right in front of them was so amazing that it made all their hard work worthwhile.
On that day, Park Myung-soo, Kim Dae-ho, and Choi Daniel began their journey of the 'wild gorilla tour' with a mix of excitement and nervousness. The 'wild gorilla tour' was the moment the three of them had been looking forward to even before their trip to Rwanda. In particular, Kim Dae-ho, who loves nature, could not hide his excitement. The eldest brother, Park Myung-soo, also recalled not seeing a tiger during their trip to India in 'The Great Guide 1', and he hoped to meet the gorillas this time.
The 'wild gorilla tour' got off to an unusual start. First, sturdy guides explained the rules to observe in the forest. Next, a gunman armed with a rifle accompanied them to protect the trio from the dangers of wildlife, including buffaloes and elephants. Unfortunately, it had rained a few days before, making the ground muddy. Although they started the hike enjoying the beauty of nature, as time passed, the trio's heavy breaths became audible.
There were also a lot of wild thorn bushes that stung even if brushed against. The path gradually disappeared, but the trio persevered and kept walking. At that moment, a family of eighteen Agasha gorillas appeared. The sudden appearance of the wild gorillas excited the trio, who exclaimed 'Wow!' in unison. In particular, the irresistibly cute baby wild gorillas brought smiles to their faces.
The highlight of the day was the moment they spotted the 'silverback' gorilla Agasha, the leader of the group. Lying down, silverback Agasha boasted tremendous size and the calmness of a dominant creature. The trio could hardly hide their astonishment at encountering a wild gorilla up close. Agasha, seeming unafraid of people, plopped down right in front of them. Conversely, the trio stepped back in fear of Agasha's imposing presence. The look of shock on the trio's faces due to the unimaginable odor of the wild gorilla brought laughter.
After a while, after Agasha set off, Kim Dae-ho performed an outrageous act. He lay down in the spot where Agasha had been. Kim Dae-ho remarked, 'It's thrilling. It's chilling,' while his eyes sparkled with madness. The trio, having once again marveled at the wonders of nature, struggled another two hours walking down the muddy path. In particular, laughter erupted as Park Myung-soo, saying, 'I lost weight because it was so hard,' found his pants slipping off.
On the last day of their trip, the trio spent their free time before camping. The oldest brother, Park Myung-soo, visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial. This place holds the painful history of the Rwandan civil war, which saw over 1 million casualties in 1994. Park Myung-soo commented, 'There are more direct scenes compared to our country's memorial. It breaks my heart,' adding, 'A nation that rises after overcoming pain will grow even more, so Rwanda will continue to develop.'
The broadcast that day showcased the strengths and charms of 'The Great Guide 2' as a travel entertainment show. It captured the awe of nature while encountering wild gorillas up close and conveyed meaningful messages by revisiting the painful history of the travel destination. Additionally, the candid and delightful characters of Park Myung-soo, Kim Dae-ho, and Choi Daniel, along with their lively interactions, brought laughter to viewers. 'The Great Guide 2,' which promises greater enjoyment with each episode, airs every Tuesday evening at 8:30 p.m.
