Kim Min-seok and Jung Dong-hwan of the group Melomance acknowledged past rumors of discord. After reconciling two years after the conflict that arose with their rise in popularity, they have established a deep friendship once again.

On the afternoon of the 23rd, a new episode featuring Melomance was released on the YouTube channel 'Naraesik.' The episode garnered attention with the title 'Melomance discord rumors, Melomance reconciliation story, first reveal of new song.'

On this day, Park Na-rae asked Kim Min-seok and Jung Dong-hwan of Melomance, 'Have you ever thought, 'I really can’t work with this guy'? I also never argue with Jang Doyoun, but there was one time we had a fight.'

In response, Kim Min-seok immediately acknowledged the discord, saying, 'We didn’t get along well! Very much,' and added, 'What was interesting at that time was that the more successful we became, the deeper the rift grew. It was really surprising.' Park Na-rae empathized, saying, 'It’s inevitable. When things go well, there are many things to worry about, and since we are sensitive, there are many conflicts.'

Kim Min-seok candidly said, 'Since we received so much attention for the first time, I think we might have thought about whose equity that attention belonged to.' Park Na-rae also added, 'I worked hard behind the scenes, and if I feel like we don’t recognize each other, that’s where the feelings of disappointment start.'

The conflict between Kim Min-seok and Jung Dong-hwan reportedly intensified after gaining popularity with 'Gift.' Park Na-rae directly asked, 'You didn’t get along during 'Sugar Man,' did you?' Kim Min-seok replied, 'During 'Sugar Man,' Dong-hwan did his thing, and I did mine.'

In response, Park Na-rae noted, 'I felt like there was a bit of a standoff. When we rehearsed together, the timing was slightly off. We were on the same path, but it felt like we were going in different directions.'

Kim Min-seok confessed, 'Now, when Dong-hwan appears during performances, I pretend to be really protective and play around, but back then, if the music was supposed to come in at 1, Dong-hwan would suddenly go out first. Then the next time it was 1, I would go out first.' Jung Dong-hwan added, 'There were really many childish things. So many.'

As the conflict escalated, the two became unable to even eat together. When Park Na-rae asked, 'How can you eat together?' both Kim Min-seok and Jung Dong-hwan replied, 'Of course not,' and 'But we had to eat together at places like highway rest stops. Then we would sit as far apart as possible,' they said excitedly.

Jung Dong-hwan also confessed that he had blocked Kim Min-seok's phone number. Jung Dong-hwan said, 'I feel a bit awkward saying this, but I had blocked him. But it was a very short block.' This indicated that their conflict had run deep.

Having been friends since a young age, the two resolved their significant conflict and became a team. When Park Na-rae asked about the moment of reconciliation, Kim Min-seok opened up, saying, 'One day, Dong-hwan went on a music program and was asked to talk about me, and he said I was an old piano. I was really taken aback by that.'

In response, Jung Dong-hwan explained, 'I wanted to break the ice for reconciliation. It’s a piano I’ve played since I was young, and even though I now play many good pianos, it’s always the piano that has been with me.'

Kim Min-seok then said, 'I just mentioned that, even though I don’t touch it much now...but at that time, I cried so much. There are many types of tears; there can be anger or unfairness. But I couldn’t see it as tears of that meaning and thought, 'He could act, right?'' This remark drew laughter.

Jung Dong-hwan added, 'Thinking back on the old days, while we were preparing for 'Sketchbook,' we didn’t say a single word. But we performed really well, so there were no issues with the performance.'

'The old piano' remark became a turning point for their reconciliation. Kim Min-seok remarked, 'That’s where it all started. While our older sister who works with us said that since this was the last album she was releasing before going to the military, Dong-hwan should talk directly to me. So, I went into the studio.'

Kim Min-seok shared, 'But the time when Dong-hwan became deeply immersed in music was when I was having the hardest time, so I remembered only that and said, 'Let’s do this.' Suddenly, the friend I knew came out. After being silent, he said, 'If that’s what you mean, let’s do it.' I still remember that. It was such a shock. It felt like encountering that old friend again. So, I was confused. I thought about it for a few days and then reached out to Dong-hwan.'

Kim Min-seok said, 'Almost two years later, we finally had a moment just the two of us. Before the sashimi came out, we each had a bottle. Every time we raised our glasses, I was reminded of when we first started. I originally didn’t like standing alone on stage,' he said, and added, 'You know I don’t really like standing alone on stage, right? But being on stage back then was enjoyable because you were there,' as he confessed to the moment of reconciliation over tears.

Kim Min-seok continued, 'But from this point on, Dong-hwan also started shedding tears. 'Just. He’s back,' he said, and let it go.' Park Na-rae, who heard all about Kim Min-seok and Jung Dong-hwan's moments of conflict and reconciliation, suggested they hold hands, stating, 'If you don’t express it, you won’t know.'
