The group IVE has released their first Japanese drama OST since their debut.
The original Japanese song 'DARE ME' by IVE (An Yu-jin, Gaeul, RAY, Jang Won-young, Liz, and Lee Seo) decorated the opening of the Japanese NTV April season Sunday drama 'Dame Mane! - The Unmarketable Talent, Management!' (hereafter 'Dame Mane!'), which first aired on the 20th. It was also released as a digital track on various global music platforms shortly after the drama's first broadcast on the 21st.
'DARE ME,' which gained attention when it was announced as the opening song for 'Dame Mane!,' is an original Japanese song produced for the drama. It contains a message of encouragement and positivity that says, 'It's okay to be me as I am, without comparing myself to someone else.'
It is the first time IVE has sung a drama OST collectively since their debut in 2021. Having decorated the opening from their very first attempt, they have proven their hot global popularity and are expected to bring a vibrant start to the drama and enhance audience engagement through 'DARE ME.'
IVE said through their agency, "We are grateful to have the opportunity to be part of the OST for the Japanese drama 'Dame Mane!' It feels fresh to sing a group drama OST for the first time since our debut. We hope 'DARE ME' and the drama 'Dame Mane!' receive a lot of love and attention."
'Dame Mane!' is a life revenge comedy drama about a rookie manager who hides their past as a child actor with exceptional insight and acting skills, helping failed talents make a comeback.
The new song 'DARE ME,' released with the first broadcast, ranked on major domestic music site Melon's HOT100 chart (within 30 days of release) and the real-time and daily charts of Japan's largest music site, LINE Music (as of April 21), highlighting global fans' interest.
The OST 'DARE ME' for the drama 'Dame Mane!' featuring IVE can be found on various global music platforms. Today (22nd), IVE is scheduled to hold a concert in Fukuoka as part of their fan concert tour in Japan titled 'IVE SCOUT IN JAPAN.'
