Actor Ryu Jun-yeol, who is celebrating his 10th anniversary in his debut, graced the cover of the fashion magazine
Recently, he received much acclaim and love through the Netflix film "Revelations" and noted, "There is always a sense of regret after finishing a project, but while playing the character Min-chan, I aimed to do what was necessary for the genre rather than just moving forward with the character's emotions. I also expressed more than I had thought. I am truly grateful to hear a lot of good words because everything has come together well."
When asked about the moment he felt he received any "revelation" like his character in the film, he said, "I always receive revelations. Especially regarding acting, I think there’s nothing that awakens so many emotions in me. It’s a joyful thing to see the results of my efforts come out into the world, and to find satisfactory points socially and personally. So, my affection grows over time."
Concerning stories he is interested in as an actor, he said, "I still prefer stories grounded in reality. Even when doing genre work, I always try to find universal emotions or points of empathy among people." He shared about the joys and sorrows he has discovered as an actor over the past 10 years, saying, "It’s interesting to meet new people every time. Since personalities keep changing, I don’t fall into a rut. I have never done a project with the same mindset. Of course, there’s also suffering. I find that when I don’t just look for what’s comfortable and endure some discomfort, a greater joy often comes when I unravel it. So sometimes, I let myself suffer as much as possible."
When asked what Ryu Jun-yeol's dream is now, he replied, "The word dream feels quite heavy, but if I were to say a wish, I hope to continue acting hard for another 10 years just like the past 10 years without rest. It’s about not stopping. I don’t think I have a dream as big as this at the moment."
