Boynextdoor, "the hottest team these days," participated in the production of all tracks for their new album "No Genre."
Boynextdoor (Seongho, Riu, Myeongjaehyun, Taesan, Ihan, Unhak) posted the tracklist for their mini album "No Genre" on the team’s official social media at 10 p.m. on the 21st. The album conveys a hip vibe through a variety of colors such as yellow, purple, and green, as well as a stylish font.
The album "No Genre" consists of a total of seven tracks, including the title track "I Feel Good," "123-78," "Step By Step," "Are You Kidding?" "Next Mistake," as well as "Today Only I LOVE YOU," which was released as a digital single in January this year, and the English version of the title track. Myeongjaehyun, Taesan, and Unhak are credited on this album as well. Especially, Unhak participated in the production of all tracks, showing their musical growth.
Set to be released at 6 p.m. on May 13, "No Genre" is an album that highlights the confident and free-spirited charms of the six members. The term "Genre" in the album title defines the form in artistic fields such as music and film, but can sometimes become a constraint and limit possibilities. Boynextdoor conveyed their aspirations to create the music they want without limiting themselves to the boundaries of genres in the new album. The title track "I Feel Good" demonstrates Boynextdoor's confident attitude, showcasing a dynamic energy that is unconstrained by any style. Producer Zico from KOZ Entertainment, along with Pop Time and Kako, took charge of the production to complete the catchy track.
The track "123-78" weaves feelings of missing a past lover into the time spent counting numbers. "Step By Step" expresses a desire to capture the fleeting seasons aimlessly passing by, while "Are You Kidding?" depicts the cute jealousy felt upon seeing an ex-lover with someone else. "Next Mistake" deals with love that feels right when it's at its hottest but approaches as a mistake when it cools down. Through "Today Only I LOVE YOU," it sings about the realistic aftermath of a breakup.
Meanwhile, Boynextdoor will release a total of three versions of concept photos and films, including "No Matter," "No Route," and "No Limit," starting on the 22nd to build anticipation for their comeback.
