Actor Kwon Oh-jung drew attention by appearing in public for the first time in a long while.

On the 21st, a VIP preview photo wall event for the film 'Holy Night: Demon Hunters' (directed by Lim Dae-hee) took place at Lotte Cinema in Lotte World Tower, Jamsil, Seoul.

'Holy Night: Demon Hunters' is an occult action film where the dark resolver team 'Holy Night' consisting of Bao (Ma Dong-seok), Sharon (Seo Hyun), and Kim-gun (Lee Da-wit) eliminates evil forces in a city thrown into chaos by a group that worships evil.

On this day, various stars appeared on the photo wall, among whom actor Kwon Oh-jung made his first public appearance in about four years, showcasing a bright smile that drew attention.

Previously, Kwon Oh-jung had disappeared from the public eye since 2020, cutting off all communication and halting broadcasting activities. In connection with this, Kwon Oh-jung recently grants on Channel A's 'Best Friends Documentary: Four-Person Table' and shared his reasons.

He explained, "The year 2020 was difficult for my family. My spouse was ill, I was ill, and my child was ill. I thought I needed to save my family. The best way was to change my phone number and spend time just with my family."

He also shared his son's situation, who has a rare developmental disability. Kwon Oh-jung said, "Hyuk-jun graduated from college two years ago. It was a miracle that he went to college, but I thought high school was his last class," adding, "It was the first of its kind in the country, and there are now a few others, but it's extremely rare. There are hardly any around the world. We spent that time going to hospitals all over the country. Many treatments that are not recognized and are not legal are available. As a parent, there's that feeling that if we miss this symptom, it could get worse. We went everywhere. Whenever we heard stories about where children had recovered, we would go. We spent an astonishing amount of time doing that."

Kwon Oh-jung later mentioned that his son was accepted into a Christian university's Christian department for students with disabilities, stating, "He will graduate in 2023. There’s nothing to do, so they are telling him to find a job, but even if his body is uncomfortable, if he doesn’t have an intellectual disability, he can work. Even if he sits, he can do it. Although he has both issues, it's awkward to find a place to work," but he also noted, "My son is interested in acting. What he has seen is acting. It’s funny that a friend heard information on the radio and informed me. I called after hearing there’s a place that teaches those with disabilities. They asked to have a consultation. Hyuk-jun wanted to go, so we went, and he is learning to act," hinting at future activities.
