'Sundori' Lee Geon-joo reveals complex feelings as he reunites with his mother after 44 years.

Tonight (22nd) at 10 p.m., TV CHOSUN's 'Dad and Me' will feature Lee Geon-joo, a former child star and shaman who has shared his heartbreaking family story, as he reunites with his mother after 44 years. While searching for his mother, whom he lost at the age of 2, Lee Geon-joo had a chance to meet her 15 years ago, but that meeting fell through due to a comment he heard from her: “Is he making good money?” He revealed that he was not emotionally prepared at that time and practiced what to say during the entire trip toward Gangwon Province, where his mother lives. He also expressed, “I feel jumbled and confused about what to start with, and what actions to take.”

Arriving in front of his mother's house, Lee Geon-joo hesitated and lingered at the door, shedding tears for a long time. He conveyed, “If I weren’t in this situation, it would have been a home I could enter comfortably... I felt pity for myself and a mix of various thoughts.” As he watched the VCR, Lee Seung-yeon remarked, “He looks like a child,” expressing sympathy for Lee Geon-joo, who seeks his mother even at the age of 40. After a difficult time with the help of the production team, Lee Geon-joo finally met his mother after 44 years, but he continued to cry. The dramatic reunion of the mother and son brought tears to Chef Lu Ching Lai as well as Jang Seo-hee, turning the studio into a sea of tears.

As the long-awaited dialogue between mother and son began, Jun Hyun-moo remarked, “It’s the first conversation after 44 years… It unfolds like this,” becoming engrossed. Lee Seung-yeon offered advice, saying, “As deeper stories emerge one by one, it becomes intense. Feelings can resurface, whether it's hate or longing. Whether it’s 30 years or 44 years, time doesn’t fly by in just a day or two,” which comforted Lee Geon-joo.

After a deep cry, Lee Geon-joo approached his mother for their long-awaited reunion after 44 years. What was the first question he asked, and what secrets had his mother kept? How did their conversation unfold, given the 44 years that separated them? This will be revealed on Tuesday night at 10 p.m. in TV CHOSUN's 'Dad and Me.'
