The cast members Jung Ji-so and Seo Hyun of the movie 'Holy Night: Demon Hunters' revealed episodes from the filming.
On the afternoon of the 21st, a press screening and a media conference for the movie 'Holy Night: Demon Hunters' (directed by Lim Dae-hee, provided/distributed by Lotte Entertainment, produced by Big Punch Pictures and Nova Film, abbreviated as Holy Night) took place at the Lotte Cinema World Tower in Jamsil-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul. Actors Ma Dong-seok, Seo Hyun, Lee Da-wit, Kyung Soo-jin, Jung Ji-so, and director Lim Dae-hee attended the event to discuss the film.
'Holy Night' is an occult action film where the team 'Holy Night', consisting of the darkness resolver ‘Ba Woo’ (Ma Dong-seok), ‘Sharon’ (Seo Hyun), and ‘Kim-gun’ (Lee Da-wit), combats evil forces in a city thrown into chaos by a cult that worships evil. Jung Ji-so plays the possessed girl Eun-seo, while Kyung Soo-jin portrays her sister Jung-won, who requests an exorcism to save her sibling. The film is generating anticipation as a new project from Ma Dong-seok, who received acclaim for the 'Crime City' series.
Jung Ji-so, portraying the possessed girl Eun-seo, delivers a powerful performance as she embodies the evil spirit. Regarding this, she said, "It was my first role where I played a possessed character. I just watched the movie, and I think it turned out cooler than I expected, so I believe the director made it look better than my acting, and I can't wait to see it." She also noted, "I remember that I came in early for makeup and spent several hours getting ready. While there was CG, makeup played a significant role."
Seo Hyun, who portrays Sharon performing the exorcism, displayed a contrasting dynamic with Jung Ji-so in the film. She mentioned, "Ji-so is such a lovely friend on set, so while we were waiting, we had fun chatting, but when it was time to shoot, we told each other not to look at each other and just focus on the scene. The moments acting with Ji-so are more memorable. It was a space where I could grow a step further."
In response, Jung Ji-so said, "I had many scenes where I had to glare at her or look her up and down as if to say 'you insignificant people.' Seo Hyun unnie asked me to treat her harshly. That way, the scene would come alive," she expressed her gratitude, creating a warm atmosphere.
'Holy Night' will premiere in theaters nationwide on the 30th.
