Kai showed tears in front of fans as he made his comeback as a solo artist, not as a member of the group EXO.

On the 21st, Kai held a media showcase to celebrate the release of his fourth mini-album 'Wait On Me' at YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, and also spent time with fans afterward.

Previously, Kai entered the Army training center in May 2023, underwent basic military training, and served as a social service agent, being discharged in February of this year in good health. He then started working with live broadcasts, the web entertainment show 'Criminals', and fashion pictorials, returning with a solo comeback album just two months later.

That day, standing in front of fans, Kai said, "I am really grateful for being with you..." as he struggled to continue and eventually lowered his head and showed tears. The fans, also moved, shouted, "Don’t cry! We love you!" and Kai jokingly replied, "Can you be quiet for a moment?" then turned around and couldn't stop his tears.

Meanwhile, this album comes about two years after the release of Kai's third mini-album 'Rover' in 2023, completed with aspirations to redefine and showcase the 'Kai style'. It includes a total of seven tracks, including the title song 'Wait On Me.'

In particular, the title track 'Wait On Me' is a pop song that utilizes the rhythm of Afrobeats, blending a restrained groove created by percussion with synth string sounds that elevate tension, promising to convey the beauty of emotions that gradually unfold without rushing through waiting.
