EXO's Kai shared his thoughts ahead of his solo comeback.

On the 21st, a showcase celebrating the release of Kai's fourth mini album "Wait On Me" was held at the YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. The showcase was hosted by Suho, the leader of EXO.

On that day, Suho, who served as the MC, introduced, "Isn't it a major showcase? I would like to welcome Mr. Kai, who has returned after being discharged for the first time in two years." Kai said, "Hello, I am Kai. Thank you once again for coming. I will make sure you don't regret coming to see me. I will try my best to talk and show you the stage. I would like to express my gratitude to Suho hyung for hosting. I also saw that Suho hyung and Chanyeol performed 'Fighting' during my absence. It was touching to see you give me strength."

Suho noted, "Above all, Mr. Kai released his first album after being discharged for the first time in two years, and he helped me host the online showcase." He mentioned the mutual support of EXO.

Kai explained, "Since I am returning after two years, I feel like it took a long time to greet everyone after being discharged. I am as nervous and excited as when I debuted. The solo debut coincided with the COVID-19 situation, so I couldn't greet you in person and had to do it online. I feel good and want to express my gratitude that I can greet you like this."

He continued, "I wanted to show that the two years were not just a passage of time, but a trace of good times accumulated. I understand waiting well, and since I waited too, I worked hard to complete a wonderful and satisfying album."

This album is the first release in about two years since Kai's third mini album "Rover" released in 2023, and it is completed with the ambition to redefine and showcase the "Kai style," including the title track "Wait On Me" and a total of seven tracks of danceable music that evoke Kai's performances.

Meanwhile, Kai's fourth mini album "Wait On Me" will be released today (21st) at 6 p.m. through various music sites. Additionally, Kai will embark on the "2025 KAI SOLO CONCERT TOUR

"KAION" (2025 KAI Solo Concert Tour) starting with the Seoul performance at the Olympic Park Handball Stadium on May 17-18, and will visit 10 regions in Asia including Kuala Lumpur, Macau, Jakarta, Singapore, Taipei, Manila, Bangkok, Yokohama, and Hong Kong.
