Actress Hong Hwa-yeon will appear in the drama 'Tastefully Yours' as her next project following 'Buried Hearts.'
Having made a stunning debut as Ye Eun-nam in 'Buried Hearts,' Hong Hwa-yeon returns in the Genie TV original series 'Tastefully Yours' (planned by KT Studio Genie, produced by Shortcake, created by Han Jun-hee, written by Jung Soo-yoon, directed by Park Dan-hee), which will be released on May 12.
'Tastefully Yours' is a growth romance about chaebol heir Han Beom-woo (played by Kang Ha-neul), who has become a 'recipe hunter' to inherit food corporations, and chef Mo Yeon-joo (played by Go Min-si), who runs a table less restaurant in Jeonju. Hong Hwa-yeon will portray a character named 'Jang Young-hye,' showcasing a different charm.
In 'Tastefully Yours,' Hong Hwa-yeon plays the character 'Jang Young-hye,' a star chef with a passionate charm. Notably, this work has been officially invited to the 26th Jeonju International Film Festival, where the first and second episodes will be specially screened for the first time during a film festival. Hong Hwa-yeon will also attend the festival, joining Kang Ha-neul, Go Min-si, Kim Shin-rok, and Yoo Soo-bin for a conversation with the audience and outdoor stage greetings.
Hong Hwa-yeon noted, "I had an audition while filming 'Buried Hearts,' and it felt even more attractive because I could handle new stories and characters. Additionally, I was glad to have the chance to play a chef, especially after meeting this work following a survival program I enjoyed watching. I was happy to work in an atmosphere that valued consideration and respect, feeling warmth among people during the filming of this enjoyable and delightful work. We filmed mostly in Jeonju, and it's meaningful that it was submitted to the Jeonju International Film Festival. I'm thrilled to express these feelings."
The Genie TV original 'Tastefully Yours,' featuring Hong Hwa-yeon, will premiere on May 12 at 10 p.m. on ENA.
