In ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines’, actress Chae Seo-an, who plays the young Yeong-ran role in ‘Lady Hak’, mentioned her ideal type.
On the 19th, a new video titled ‘On the part-time job mon Chae Seo-an, who said she had 7 part-time jobs, and her shocking ideal type… a non-face-to-face interview of ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines’ Lady Hak' was released on the YouTube channel ‘Harper's Bazaar Korea’.
On that day, Chae Seo-an answered the question of which of Lady Hak, Ae-soon, and Geum-myung her dating style corresponds to by saying, “I think I’m like Geum-myung, who speaks her mind straightforwardly and can’t stand being frustrated.” She also noted about her ideal type, “I like the style of Cillian Murphy as ‘Tom Shelby’ from the British drama ‘Peaky Blinders.’ I like a man with charisma.”
When asked to pick her ideal type in ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines’, Chae Seo-an said, “I apologize to my senior Kwan-sik (played by Park Bo-gum), but I don’t think I like really gentle men. I think I like charismatic figures. The Man from Nowhere.” The production team responded with surprise, “Really?” To which Chae Seo-an added, “Yes, a charismatic tsundere?”
Chae Seo-an expressed her desire to challenge herself in the genre saying, “I want to try historical dramas. I want to tell a heartbreaking sad love story.”
She then shared that she thought she would have done well in a role she could have played in ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines’ by saying, “I thought Hyun-sook would be something I could also do well. Since I actually have an older brother, and the way I bicker with Oh-seong feels very realistic like real siblings, I think I could have done well if I had played it.”
Meanwhile, Chae Seo-an gained great popularity after taking on the role of young Yeong-ran in the Netflix series ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines,’ which premiered last month.
