In "My Kid's Private Life," Sarang expressed her longing for her grandfather.
In the 17th episode of the ENA entertainment show "My Kid's Private Life" aired on the 20th, a special photo shoot location featuring Sarang and Yuto was revealed.
On that day, Sarang visited a tarot card reader to express her concern for her father Choo Sung Hoon's health. When the tarot master said, "Are you aware that he has headaches? And his stamina is decreasing. He needs to rest a bit," an astonished Sarang confessed, "It felt a bit scary." After a moment, the tarot master reassured her, "But you have good intuition, so if something feels off, you can go to the hospital or seek help. He will be healthier than Sarang."
In the studio, Lee Hyun asked, "At the age of 70, you said you wanted to pass away in Sarang's embrace, right?" Choo Sung Hoon revealed, "When Sarang was born, I held her for the first time. Because I held her first, I had this thought that when I die, I want to die in Sarang's embrace," drawing attention.
Meanwhile, Sarang displayed a relaxed pose like a professional during the photo shoot. Model Lee Hyun praised her, saying, "Sarang is almost a professional. She uses her expressions very well. She is born to be a model. She's a style that draws attention." In contrast, Choo Sung Hoon expressed disappointment, saying, "I see her cuteness objectively, but I believe she can do better. Sarang needs to enhance her charm."
After finishing the photo shoot, Sarang returned to the set, asking for more photos. Dressed in a judo uniform, Sarang said, "When my father first started judo, my grandfather tied this belt for him. So, this outfit is truly meaningful for my family," she conveyed. In response, Choo Sung Hoon added, "I also started judo because my father taught me. I began around the same time as Sarang, and my father always tied my belt. It has special meaning since that was when I started."
Most notably, one arm of the judo uniform Sarang wore had the name "Choo Sung Hoon" embroidered, while the other arm had her grandfather's name "Choo Gyei". When reminiscing about her grandfather, Sarang said, "I rode a bicycle with my grandfather in Osaka, and he came to Hawaii to play games with me. In front of the house we lived in Hawaii, there was a river where we caught fish and crabs together. "
However, Choo Sung Hoon's father, the late Choo Gyei, suddenly passed away at the age of 73 while playing golf in April 2023. Sarang revealed, "I started to think that family is really precious. Since my grandfather is no longer here, I sometimes sleep with my father."
In the studio, Choo Sung Hoon said, "Honestly, I feel nothing but gratitude. I didn't know I was thinking that way. I'm truly grateful to my father for Sarang thinking this way. I'm very thankful to my father and also very thankful to Sarang," his eyes glistened with tears.
Sarang said, "Grandpa is a warm-hearted person who always thinks of me," and she could no longer hold back her tears. At that moment, images of her grandfather from "The Return of Superman" were revealed. Choo Sung Hoon remarked, "We filmed a lot on 'Superman'. I'm really grateful," which evoked emotions.
Then Sarang said, "I miss my grandfather. I want to travel together with him again," and with tears in her eyes, she expressed to her grandfather, "I love you, and I want to see you again."
After hearing Sarang's innermost feelings, Choo Sung Hoon stated, "My father would like it too. When my father passes away, I want to dress him in a judo uniform, so for the last moment, I tied his belt. I felt that was something I had to do. When I die, I believe Sarang will tie my belt for me," bringing tears to the studio.
