'Hospital Playlist' 99s (Guguz) is making a comeback.
Studio Mind C will release the song 'Amateur' sung by Mido and Parasol from the tvN weekend drama 'Resident Playbook' (creators Shin Won-ho, Lee Woo-jung / director Lee Min-soo / screenplay Kim Song-hee / planning CJ ENM Studios / production Egg is Coming) on the 20th at 6 p.m. through various music streaming sites.
'Amateur' is a remake of the song of the same name released by singer Lee Seung-chul in 2012. While maintaining the warm supportive message of the original, it has been reborn into a version unique to Mido and Parasol by adding emotional acoustic guitar and synthesizer arrangements. The composer Naiv, who has produced hit OSTs for several works, including 'Hospital Playlist,' 'My Liberation Notes,' and 'Twenty-Five Twenty-One,' arranged it, enhancing Mido and Parasol's distinct cheerful charm.
Mido and Parasol is a band formed through the first two seasons of 'Hospital Playlist.' Actors Jo Jung-suk, Yoo Yeon-seok, Jung Kyung-ho, Kim Dae-myung, and Jeon Mi-do, who played medical school classmates from the class of '99 in the series, have collaborated for their junior residents. After four years, Mido and Parasol are set to release a remake of a new song, which is expected to intricately capture the narrative and emotional lines of the drama, enhancing the immersion.
In particular, the numerous songs sung by Mido and Parasol, including 'Someday,' 'To You, I'm Me, and You Are You,' 'Let's Forget Now,' 'The Night Is Deep,' 'Unfancy Confession,' 'Rain and You,' and 'Still Beautiful,' swept to the top of major domestic music charts immediately after release, garnering much love, and attention is focused on this 'Amateur.'
'Resident Playbook' adds interest with its authentic stories and the growth of first-year residents in each episode. Among these, the OST Part 4 'Amateur,' featuring Mido and Parasol, will be released on the 20th at 6 p.m. through various music streaming sites.
