Actor Lee Gye-young dies at 70, two years since passing marked in Korea

It has been two years since actor Lee Gye-young, who was active in major works such as 'The Era of a Hero' and 'Taejo Wang Geon', passed away.

Lee Gye-young passed away on April 18th, 2023, at the age of 70.

According to officials, Lee Gye-young passed away at Asan Medical Center in Seoul while hospitalized due to a chronic illness.

Lee Gye-young, who debuted as a talent in the 14th public audition of TBC in 1973, appeared in dramas such as 'Daldongnae', 'New Generation Report - Adults Don't Know', 'Eyes of the Dragon', 'The King and I', 'Earth Defense Vector Man', 'Taejo Wang Geon', 'Empress Myeongseong', 'The Era of a Hero', 'Jang Hee-bin', 'The Era of a Hero', 'The King's Woman', 'Jang Gil-san', 'The Immortal Yi Sun-sin', 'The Divine Weapon', 'Dae Joyeong', 'Giant', 'Gwanggaeto the Great', 'Oja-ryong Goes', 'Queen Seondeok', and others.

He also appeared in films such as 'Dragon Ball', 'Revengement is Mine', 'Old Miss Diary', 'The New Generation', 'The Capture King', 'The Return of the Clan', 'Wish Taxi', and 'Cheonanho Project', meeting audiences along the way.
