The Japanese solo concert of Girls' Generation's Taeyeon was canceled two days before the event.

According to the industry on the 18th, the agency SM Entertainment announced on the official Japanese website that Taeyeon's solo concert 'The TENSE' would be canceled. Taeyeon was scheduled to meet with fans at the Tokyo Ariake Arena from the 19th to the 20th.

SM Entertainment noted, "We are in the process of transporting equipment used for the Asia tour to Japan, but it has not yet arrived in Japan," adding that "it is a difficult situation to prepare adequately for the performance." They also stated, "We discussed with stakeholders and explored all possibilities, but reached the conclusion that it would be difficult to execute the performance perfectly."

Taeyeon expressed her disappointment through a fan communication platform. She said, "When I heard the news of the concert cancellation in Japan, I felt very upset and didn't know what to say," adding, "I hate this situation and I'm sorry to my fans."

Taeyeon also said, "It feels like my performance, created through everyone's efforts and expectations, has been stolen in an instant," expressing uncertainty about how to articulate this feeling of emptiness and disappointment.

Taeyeon began her Asia tour in Seoul last month. She has completed performances in Taipei, Manila, and Jakarta. Upcoming concerts include Tokyo, Macau, Singapore, Bangkok, and Hong Kong.
