Girl group Girls' Generation member Taeyeon is currently on a solo Asia tour, but a concert in Japan has been abruptly canceled.

On the 17th, the agency SM Entertainment announced the cancellation of the ‘TAEYEON CONCERT – The TENSE in JAPAN,’ which was scheduled to take place from the 19th to the 20th, through Taeyeon's official Japanese website.

On that day, the agency said, "We had planned to hold the concert at Tokyo Ariake Arena on April 19th and 20th, but the equipment being used for the Asia tour is currently being transported to Japan. At this time, it has not arrived in Japan, and it is a very difficult situation to make sufficient preparations for the performance."

The agency continued, "We have consulted with various related parties and explored all possibilities, but we have come to the conclusion that it is difficult to hold the concert in a complete state," and added, "We deeply apologize to all of you who were eagerly waiting for the concert for the significant inconvenience caused."

Previously, Taeyeon began her Asia tour from March 7th to 9th in Seoul, followed by concerts at Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines, on March 29th, and Indonesia Arena in Jakarta, Indonesia, on April 12th with the ‘TAEYEON CONCERT - The TENSE in ASIA.’

The Asia tour, which was supposed to continue from Jakarta, Indonesia, to Tokyo, has been halted due to equipment arrival issues. The agency noted, "We are considering possibilities for a substitute performance. We will provide information on future responses and detailed announcements as soon as they are decided."

Afterward, Taeyeon will visit a total of eight regions during the Asia tour, including Macau on the 26th, Singapore on May 3rd and 4th, Bangkok from May 31st to June 1st, and Hong Kong on June 7th to meet with fans.
