The actors Ham Eun-jung and Seo Jun-young of ‘The Queen's House’ will take over the home theater.
KBS 2TV's new daily drama ‘The Queen's House’ (directed by Hong Seok-goo and Hong Eun-mi, written by Kim Min-joo), which is set to premiere on the 28th at 7:50 p.m., is a revenge drama about a woman who believed in her perfect life and had her entire life stolen from her.
Ham Eun-jung plays the character Kang Jae-in, the daughter of the chairman of YL Group, who lived without any regrets but rather desires a normal life. Seo Jun-young transforms into Kim Do-yoon, a thoracic surgeon renowned at Korea National Hospital, who embarks on a path of revenge following a shocking incident. As the launch of an exciting daily drama is anticipated, the two introduced the charm and viewing points of ‘The Queen's House’ ahead of the premiere today (17th).
Initially, Ham Eun-jung noted, “Unlike the previous works I've granted, ‘The Queen's House’ is a drama where wounds caused by betrayal and revenge unfold from life’s abyss,” adding, “The speedy development is a bit different from existing daily dramas, which made it interesting. It’s a work that can showcase a different side, so I’m sure viewers will enjoy it.”
Ham Eun-jung, who worked hard to present an elegant look suitable for ‘The Queen's House,’ shared, “I needed to present a calm and relaxed demeanor rather than my usual cheerful and lively self, so I paid a lot of attention to styling. Especially since I play a mother, I prepared a lot on how to interact with the child.”
Seo Jun-young introduced his character Kim Do-yoon, saying, “Do-yoon vows revenge due to a certain story and has an appealing personality with a refreshing nature that executes plans without hesitation.” He further expressed his affection for the work, stating, “While he harbors a sense of revenge inside, he has to conceal that persona, so I have been preparing with more effort to present him convincingly.”
Moreover, Seo Jun-young remarked about the atmosphere on set, saying, “Although it’s a revenge drama, the spirit among the cast and crew is so jovial that it’s almost hard to believe.” He added, “Even after a cut, just making eye contact with each other bursts into laughter, and we understand each other with just a glance,” boasting about the exceptional teamwork among the actors.
Additionally, Ham Eun-jung shared the viewing points of the drama, saying, “I hope viewers pay close attention to how Jae-in is betrayed by the person she loves, how she navigates her revenge, and her strategic alliance with Do-yoon,” heightening anticipation for the broadcast.
