Rising actor Kim I-jun is set to debut in television with "Resident Playbook."

Kim I-jun has been cast in the tvN weekend drama "Resident Playbook" (creator Shin Won-ho, Lee Woo-jung / director Lee Min-soo / script Kim Song-hee / planning CJ ENM Studios / production Egg is Coming), completing the youthful lineup that will take charge of weekend nights.

"Resident Playbook" (hereinafter referred to as "Unsljeon") is a spin-off drama of "Hospital Playlist" depicting residents dreaming of a vibrant medical life as they grow through their rookie period.

In the drama, Kim I-jun transforms into Ham Dong-ho, a third-year resident in anesthesiology at Jongno Yulje Hospital, who will co-write unpredictable surgical histories with Go Youn-jung, Shin Si A, Kang Yoo-seok, Han Yae-ji, and others. Ham Dong-ho, played by Kim I-jun, is the control tower responsible for the surgical room, but is often busy with requests and apologies, making him the "best of the subordinates" among subordinates.

In particular, the extreme temperature difference of Ham Dong-ho, who swings between highs and lows, is expected to become another special treat amid the exciting developments. His previously calm demeanor, known as the embodiment of "gentleness," will become fiery as he interacts with the four new faces from obstetrics and gynecology. As viewers become curious about the events unfolding before Ham Dong-ho, there is high anticipation for Kim I-jun's performance, which promises to be flavorful.

Kim I-jun expressed his feelings about joining "Unsljeon" through his agency Just Entertainment. First, he revealed his excitement by stating, "I am happy to meet the viewers through 'Resident Playbook,' which is filled with the efforts of everyone involved in the project," and he did not forget to ask everyone to look forward to Ham Dong-ho's activities. Finally, Kim I-jun wrapped up his remarks with a witty encouragement: "Let's all work hard until we become Seulgi!"

Kim I-jun is drawing attention as a rising star with an attractive face, acting skills, and a tall physique at 187cm, and interest is growing in his acting career that crosses both television and stage.

Kim I-jun is currently showcasing his presence as the lead in the popular ongoing play "Pride." He plays Oliver, a courageous writer who expresses himself in a repressive society of 1958, while in the much freer 2008, he plays a version of himself confused about his identity, delicately expressing complex emotional lines and providing the audience with intense immersion. Additionally, he has already confirmed his next project, SBS's "Try: We Become Miracles," ahead of its first broadcast this year, as he continues his unbridled acting activities.

Kim I-jun, who is sincerely passionate about acting, is making steady progress as an actor. While there is a growing interest in his new appearances in various works, delightful curiosity is rising about his efforts to enrich "Unsljeon."

The tvN drama "Resident Playbook," featuring Kim I-jun, airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 p.m.
