Mukbang creator Tzuyang appeared for police questioning but left the police station after 30 minutes, drawing attention to the circumstances surrounding her departure.

Tzuyang appeared at the Gangnam Police Station in connection with the case of having accused Kim Se-hee, the representative of the Garosero Research Institute, of threats and coercion on the morning of the 16th.

While appearing before the police, Tzuyang noted, “(Kim Se-hee) has been providing false information and has been harassing those around me since July of last year, and it has been difficult knowing that a decision not to indict was made in that regard. I will explain thoroughly about this part and will speak so that a better outcome can arise. Though it was hard for me to be harassed, it made me angry and I could not bear that it also affected those around me. To ensure that no one like me comes forward again, I will sincerely cooperate with the investigation today.”

According to the police, on July 30 of last year, Kim Se-hee was sued for exposing alleged tax evasion and personal issues of Tzuyang through her YouTube channel, coercing her for a clarification, and repeatedly posting Tzuyang’s pictures and posts. However, the police decided to dismiss the allegations of violating the Information and Communications Network Act and threats on February 12, after Tzuyang submitted a statement of withdrawal of the complaint.

In response to the police’s decision not to indict, Tzuyang’s side filed an objection, and the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office accepted it, demanding the police conduct supplementary investigations into the case.

In relation to this, Tzuyang, who sought to attend the police for questioning, sparked curiosity by refusing the investigation after only 30 minutes.

Tzuyang’s legal representative explained, “It seemed that the police did not view her as a victim at all, and it appeared they had no intention of providing protection. Moreover, there were circumstances that made it impossible to doubt whether a fair investigation was taking place, so she intends to review the police investigation and, if necessary, she will be willing to be questioned again.”
