The recent situation of actress Amanda Bynes (39) has drawn attention.
Bynes, a former child star, recently announced that she will open an OnlyFans page, 15 years after leaving the entertainment industry.
OnlyFans, a website that offers exclusive paid content, gained popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic, and stars like Denise Richards, Iggy Azalea, and Cardi B have earned "millions of dollars" in recent years by sharing provocative content.
However, on the 15th (local time), Bynes claimed that she will not post "lewd content" on OnlyFans. She stated that she will use the page to communicate with fans. Fans will need to pay $50 per month to access Bynes's OnlyFans.
Born in 1996, Bynes debuted in the 2002 film "Big Fat Liar" and was treated as one of the top stars for several years, appearing in "Easy A," "Hairspray," "Lovewrecked," and "What a Girl Wants," but she has not acted as an actress in the last 15 years.
Amid concerns over mental health and substance abuse, Bynes was placed under legal guardianship for nine years by her parents in 2013, a guardianship that ended in 2022.
In 2023, she was hospitalized for a psychiatric hold after wandering the streets of Los Angeles naked, and prior to that, she made headlines for breaking into a dwelling in Thousand Oaks, California, and setting a fire in the garage driveway. Her repeated erratic behavior led to controversy, and her attending physician noted that she displayed symptoms of schizophrenia.
Fortunately, she has recently been using art as a mechanism for recovery and is reported to be in a much better state than before.
