Former idol actress Jo Hye-won has found a new nest at KeyEast.

KeyEast announced on the 16th regarding the exclusive contract with actress Jo Hye-won, saying, "We will wholeheartedly support Jo Hye-won, who has diverse charm and passion for acting, to actively carry out her activities as an actress." It added, "Please give your great support to Jo Hye-won, who is at a new starting line."

Jo Hye-won debuted in 2020 as Jo Ah (stage name) in the girl group "Weeekly." She was active as the main rapper and the visual maknae of the team. Weeekly achieved six rookie awards right after their debut and attained remarkable success as a 4th generation rookie girl group, reaching No. 1 on the iTunes Top Albums Chart with the title track "After School" from their 3rd mini album in 2021, surpassing 100 million views on YouTube and 200 million streams on Spotify, garnering much love from the public.

As an actress, she took her first step in 2022 with the web film "3.5 Period." In the film, Hye-won plays the character Baek Ah-jin, a transfer student who gets involved in a secretive incident after accidentally discovering a rubber watch that can slow time down by ten times. She received praise for her stable acting and charming voice tone right from her first acting challenge. She has since nurtured her passion for acting, enrolling in Sungkyunkwan University in 2024 to prepare for her full-fledged acting career.

In addition to her singing and acting activities, Jo Hye-won showcased her charming personality and unexpected twists through her solo web entertainment show "Ohiryou Joah" Season 1 launched last year, raising her popularity as an "all-rounder". Expectations are high for Jo Hye-won, who possesses limitless potential, as she embarks on diverse endeavors with KeyEast.

Having signed an exclusive contract with KeyEast, Jo Hye-won expressed her excitement by stating, "I am looking forward to and thrilled to start anew at KeyEast, where respected seniors are present. I will strive to grow into an actress who can handle various genres and show new sides that I haven’t shown before, so I appreciate your great expectations."

Meanwhile, KeyEast is a comprehensive entertainment corporation that houses notable South Korean actors including Jo Hye-won, Cha Seung-won, Kim Hee-ae, Kang Han-na, Park Myung-hoon, Chae Jung-an, and Han Sun-hwa, and has been achieving impressive results in drama and entertainment production sectors.
