Noel announced his return to full-scale activities after overcoming the pain of his father's passing.
Recently, Noel posted a ticket announcement for his solo concert 'No.1: El Arte', which will take place on the 17th, on his social media.
This has drawn attention as it not only marks the resumption of his social media activities following the recent news of his father, former lawmaker Jang Je-won’s death, but also as a sign of his full-scale return.
Earlier, Noel's father, former lawmaker Jang Je-won, was accused of sexual violence (quasi-rape) against his secretary A while serving as the vice president of a university in Busan in November 2015. However, the deceased firmly denied the allegations against A, asserting his innocence.
However, former lawmaker Jang Je-won was found dead at an officetel in Gangdong-gu, Seoul, around 11:40 p.m. on the 31st, the day before his scheduled press conference following a police investigation. His funeral home has been set up at Haeundae Paik Hospital, and his only son, Jang Yong-jun, received visitors along with his mother.
Afterward, negative comments flooded Noel's social media account. Coincidentally, early that morning, he had posted a long handwritten letter to his fans expressing his gratitude as rapper Noel. Following the influx of negative comments, Noel eventually blocked all comment sections on his Instagram account's posts and deleted a post featuring a handwritten letter uploaded before his father's death.
On the 7th, Noel posted a lengthy message on his social media, stating, "I have taken care of my father with great sincerity for three days. On the day of his burial, the weather was unusually clear and warm, making it hard to know whether to feel glad or heartbroken. It still seems like the feeling of sadness does not resonate with my skin."
Noel also conveyed, "It was a time filled with overwhelming fear, confusion, depression, and sorrow. However, looking back, I realize that I have made many mistakes in my life, and I deeply reflect on those. Moving forward, I will become a responsible person who knows how to give and care for precious people, living more steadfastly as a person and as a head of the family. I believe this will be an opportunity to live more passionately from now on."
Meanwhile, Noel's concert will take place on May 31 at YES24 Live Hall.
