The Boyz member Sunwoo has been embroiled in a character controversy over a video known as 'My AirPods,' and he has posted a letter of apology.
On the afternoon of the 14th, Sunwoo took to The Boyz's official social media to write, "I apologize for the late release of this message as I pondered how to convey my sincere thoughts and feelings, and whether I was writing without genuine intention."
On this day, Sunwoo said, "First of all, I think you must have been very tired. I am constantly reflecting on my words and actions and my missteps," adding, "The intent of what I wanted to convey has been distorted due to my personal thoughts and irrational words and actions. Although I never intended that, I want to apologize for the inability to pay attention to my words and actions, which made some feel that way due to my feelings getting the better of me."
He continued, "I want to make it clear that this is not merely a message to get through this situation," and stated, "Because I am lacking, I couldn’t respond maturely from the beginning, and my words and actions, which tried to defend against the wounds caused by overstepping criticisms, ended up hurting many people."
Sunwoo expressed, "I am not seeking forgiveness or simply wanting to convey my grievances; instead, I had to first recognize that if someone saw me that way, I might have truly been such a person. Going forward, I will prove to you all and to myself that I am not such a person, and that I regard relationships and feelings between people as truly precious and important, even if it takes time."
Additionally, Sunwoo noted, "This letter is my sincere apology to those who criticized my shortcomings and immaturity, as well as those who might have been hurt by my actions, and to everyone around me who loves me." He added, "I hope through this letter, my heart is conveyed without any misunderstanding. Once again, I sincerely apologize to everyone who felt discomfort and hurt due to my immature responses. And I am deeply sorry to my fans who love me."
Meanwhile, Sunwoo recently found himself in a character controversy after he dropped his earphones while trying to enter an elevator and shouted, "My earphones." After a security guard promptly ran over to pick up the earphones and handed them to him with both hands, a video of him taking them with one hand was released.
