(Following interview ①) Actor Yoo Hae-jin from the movie ‘YADANG: The Snitch’ praised fellow actor Kang Ha-neul.

Yoo Hae-jin held an interview on the morning of the 15th at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. He spoke with domestic reporters about the film ‘YADANG: The Snitch’ (directed by Hwang Byeong-guk, provided/distributed by Plus M Entertainment, produced by HYBE).

‘YADANG: The Snitch’ is a crime action movie that unfolds as the broker of the opposition, who designs the drug cartel in South Korea, the prosecutor aiming for a higher position, and the detective risking everything to eradicate drug crime intertwine with different objectives. In this, Yoo Hae-jin plays the ambitious prosecutor Koo Gwan-hee.

Accordingly, Yoo Hae-jin collaborated with Kang Ha-neul, who plays Lee Gang-soo, the opposition character, and Park Hae-joon, who plays Detective Oh Sang-jae. Yoo Hae-jin particularly praised Kang Ha-neul, saying, “He has great energy. He doesn’t engage in bad behavior. He sleeps a lot and doesn’t drink, so that energy comes out. Such good energy. Because of that, I often think of good ideas on the set and discuss them together. His judgment on my suggestions is very good. I think his situational judgment is excellent; he seems like a very smart friend.”

Moreover, he acknowledged Kang Ha-neul’s nickname of ‘good deed manufacturer,’ stating, “It’s not something special; he just lives kindly. He is that kind of person. When we have been in the industry long enough, we get to know people. There are those who you can tell are working hard and those who are consistent, and from the first shoot, Ha-neul has been good. At this point, things should start to show, but as a human, he could be unpleasant, yet he isn’t. He is consistently the same.”

On the other hand, speaking about Park Hae-joon, he noted, “To be honest, he hasn’t acted much. But I first saw him during ‘Fight for My Way’ and watched him as a viewer in ‘Drug King’, and I briefly observed him this time. Yet, contrary to his looks, which seem cold, he is not at all. During the promotional events, I was often around him. We had drinks while filming ‘Nurturing Brother’ and in ‘I’ll Eat’, and I got to know him a lot. He seems to have a warm humanity.”

‘YADANG: The Snitch’ is set to be released on the 16th.
